For twelve years, Hermanson has provided Design Build and Plan & Spec mechanical construction services on expansion, renovation, and retrofit in a variety of spaces. Much of this work has been on occupied floors, requiring careful scheduling and sensitivity to patient issues and hospital operations. We developed a detailed infectious control program, including work area isolation under negative air pressure, tightly controlled routes for construction movement, and separation of construction personnel and materials from hospital operations. UWMC Pacific Tower Renovation
Seattle, Washington
Phased renovation of five hospital floors in an occupied medical tower, including a 1,500 s.f gene therapy laboratory, operating rooms, patient rooms, clinical spaces, and administrative support spaces.

Overlake Hospital - Surgery Remodel and Expansion
Bellevue, Washington
HVAC detailing, fabrication and construction for this phased renovation and addition project, adding a new Intensive Care Unit, six new operating rooms, and remodels six existing operating rooms.

Swedish Medical Center, Southeast Tower Addition
Seattle, Washington
HVAC systems construction for the addition of a new, 14-story tower connected to the existing hospital. Additional Swedish projects completed by Hermanson include the relocation of the Eye Surgery Center, a number of new and upgraded operating rooms, and a variety of retrofit projects throughout the campus.

Group Health Central
Seattle, Washington
HVAC systems for the renovation of five-stories of this medical center with clinics, cafeteria, kitchen, and four levels of parking garage. This project also included a total wall-to-wall demolition and rebuild of the third, fourth and fifth floors of the existing A and C Wings, as well as the complete change out of the roof top mechanical and HVAC systems.
