YouthBuild Students Tour Hermanson Fabrication Shops

Hermanson recently had the opportunity to welcome YouthBuild to our Kent Shops.

The visit offered students a firsthand look at how our teams design, fabricate, and deliver HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for projects across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Students heard directly from Hermanson foreman about career pathways, safety, and the teamwork it takes to succeed in construction. As an added highlight, Rick Hermanson, CEO of Hermanson, stopped by to welcome the group and share his perspective on the value of hard work, opportunity, and mentorship in the trades.

About YouthBuild
YouthBuild is an evidence-based, pre-apprenticeship program certified by the State of Washington and operated through South Seattle College’s Georgetown Campus.

Of the many affiliated YouthBuild programs across the country, YouthCare’s YouthBuild is one of the only programs specifically recruiting young people experiencing homelessness. The program provides hands-on construction training, education, and leadership development, empowering students to build both their futures and their communities.

Investing in the Next Generation
At Hermanson, we believe in the power of mentorship and the importance of opening doors to careers in the trades. We don’t just build systems. We build opportunities.

We're proud to partner with organizations like YouthBuild that are making a lasting impact by preparing young people for successful futures.
