Hermanson’s Oregon team (with assistance from UA Local 290 Plumbers & Pipefitters) collated 250 care packages to distribute in face-to-face interactions at freeway offramps, street corners, and tent encampments in the Portland and Beaverton area.

Three years ago, a team of Hermanson employees joined Lease Crutcher Lewis for a day of service at Paradise Parking Plots Community Garden to help build a garden for World Relief Seattle 's immigrant and refugee clients.
After three seasons, the garden is thriving and bringing familiar foods and a sense of community to families from twenty-three countries.

Hermanson’s Tool Manager, Abel Harp, grew up in Malden, WA where wildfires destroyed most of the town on Labor Day.
Harp and Rick Hermanson teamed up with Bigfoot Construction Supply to deliver a truckload of debris clearing supplies to help the residents of Malden begin cleaning up their property. “I appreciate Hermanson’s willingness to provide much-needed supplies that will help many begin to rebuild,” says Harp.
