Trusted Partner in Data Center Innovation

Hermanson is leading a major mechanical system upgrade for a confidential data center in Western Washington.

We are delivering a phased design-build mechanical renovation that will double the site’s cooling capacity and support an additional 13 MW of server load.

Innovation in Critical Environments Spanning

This project presents several engineering and logistical challenges, from integrating major mechanical equipment into the original waffle deck structure to accommodating multiple high-tech tenants and working with limited outdoor site availability.

The renovation includes the installation of 3,500 tons of additional chilled water plant capacity, 600,000 CFM of direct evaporative return air units (RAUs), and 1.8 million CFM of exhaust fan walls.

Our Critical Environments Group (CEG) is executing this work under an aggressive schedule with precision and care, ensuring uptime and system reliability at every phase.

A Partnership Built on Trust

This project is the latest milestone in a relationship that began in 2015, when Hermanson’s Service team responded to a simple maintenance RFP. Through responsive service, cost saving insights, and a commitment to quality, Hermanson earned the client’s trust, leading to years of successful projects.

When it came time for this critical system renovation, the client turned again to the team they knew could deliver. The result? A successful project, a satisfied client, and a long-time partnership. It’s a powerful example of our purpose in action: We build trusting relationships and deliver inspired results.
