Intergate.Seattle - Sabey Data Center 42

52,000 sf | Tukwila, Washington | Critical Environments | Design-Build Engineering

Hermanson provided full mechanical Design-Build services for 52,000 sf of shell and core space at the Sabey Data Center 42 in Tukwila, a suburb south of Seattle.  Featuring cutting-edge mechanical systems to provide temperature and humidity while optimizing energy usage and operating costs for the owner.   The project included the installation of AccuDuct Spiral Oval Duct measuring 150” x 60” – the largest spiral oval duct recorded in the world at the time.

Hermanson’s design team worked closely with the client and Seattle City Light to implement energy conservation measures that resulted in significant energy credits to the project. The data center has been running for over eight years and has a design PUE of 1.2. Sabey Data Center 42 scores 100 out of a possible 100 in Energy Star’s Better Buildings Challenge and is a recipient of Seattle City Light’s Largest Power Players Award for saving an estimated three million kWhs at full build out.
