May kicks off with Construction Safety Week—a time to celebrate our strides in safety and empower each other for the future. It's a chance to share insights, resources, and best practices to inspire a culture of safety.
Introduction to the Safety Team
Safety isn't just a priority—it's a core value ingrained in everything we do. Comprised of experienced professionals, the Hermanson Safety Team works tirelessly to ensure the people we work with are safe from industrial and environmental hazards, so they can go home to their families each night.
Hermanson offers diverse training opportunities aimed at enhancing safety and skills across the team. From Forklift and MEWP training to CPR, we prioritize equipping our employees with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and effective job performance. Regular job-site audits are conducted to proactively identify and address potential hazards, ensuring the well-being of everyone in the field.
Change Over the Years
As a company, we take immense pride in the progress we've achieved in prioritizing safety. Our Safety Team is a resource when there’s a safety issue that needs solving.
For example, in 2020, we witnessed over 10 eye-related injuries, yet by developing new procedures and mandates, we significantly reduced this number to just 1 incident last year. Our Recordable Incident Rate (RIR) has dropped by an impressive 72.5%, underscoring our labor team’s steadfast dedication to continuous improvement.
Message From Our CEO
"All our employees are very important to our company and their families. There's nothing we do worth compromising their safety. We want them to go home the same way they started everyday" - Rick Hermanson
At Hermanson, safety is more than just a protocol – it is an attitude to life. Even as the week wraps up, Hermanson is proud to continue building a culture of safety, excellence and trust.
