Congratulations new Construction Executives, Eddie Baker and Brian Morant!

Hermanson’s continued growth has necessitated the addition of two new Construction Executives in H20 and IPW. “With the addition of Eddie and Brian, we will now have a Construction Executive dedicated to each of the four Hermanson’s major project business units,” notes Senior Construction Executive, Dan Burns.

Wanting the new positions to be in-house promotion opportunities, Dan set the qualification criteria as Senior Project Managers with five years or more consecutive Hermanson experience. Working with HR, five candidates were identified that met the minimum criteria and interviews began in early July. “This was a five-month process and a difficult decision because all of the candidates were outstanding,” says Dan.

Eddie Baker has been with Hermanson for over eight years. He began his career as a Hermanson intern while studying Construction Management at UW. Since then, Eddie has worked his way up through the ranks from Assistant Project Manager to Senior Project Manager on many projects including AMLI Arc, Hill 7 Hotel & Office Complex, UW Health Sciences Education Building, and UW Population Health Facility.

Since earning an AA in Technical Drafting & Design, Brian Morant has spent 22 years at Hermanson initially working in the A-CAD department before transitioning into project management a year later. Brian provided Hermanson’s early MEP coordination by making superplots with several layers of color mylar over a light table at the UW Medical Center PAC Tower. Since then, Brian has been an on-site Project Manager and Senior Project Manager for many of Hermanson’s most recognized healthcare, education, and public work projects including Harrison/St. Michael’s Acute Care Center, UW Architecture Hall, Kent Showare Center, and Comcast Arena.

Construction Executives oversee construction operations and supervise all Project Managers working within their business unit. Eddie and Brian will be joining Construction Executives Steve Hengl (Campus) and Scott Sinclair (CEG) who report to Senior Construction Executive, Dan Burns.

Congratulations once again to Eddie and Brian for their success and continued contribution to Hermanson's growth.
