Adam Oestriech, Sheet Metal Foreman, grew up in Kent, Washington and has built his career around hands-on work and problem solving.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys riding and racing motorcycles and dirt bikes. In the offseason, he spends time working on cars and taking on personal projects. He is also looking forward to an exciting milestone, as he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child, a daughter, in October 2026.

One of the things Adam appreciates most about the mechanical construction industry is the variety the job brings.

“Every day is something different, from new challenges and new people to learning new things,” he says. He also notes that the industry is always changing, which means crews need to adapt and adjust daily.

As a Sheet Metal Foreman, Adam focuses on planning ahead and keeping work moving forward. He takes pride in meeting deadlines and identifying potential issues early. 

Just as important to him is supporting his crew. Making sure everyone has the right tools and knowledge to work safely is a top priority, along with ensuring everyone goes home in good condition at the end of the day.

During his time at Hermanson, Adam has worked on a variety of projects, including Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, several tech campus projects, and Special Projects Divion work. One project that stands out is Sea-Tac Airport, where he worked on temporary ductwork that was welded into a frame and installed all at once. With only one opportunity to set it correctly, the job required careful planning and execution.

When asked what advice he would give to other foremen and those entering the industry, Adam encourages people to stay open-minded, accept feedback, and ask questions.
