On October 7, 2026 , members of Hermanson's Service team attended the 2026 PNW Building and Plant Expo at the LeMay - America’s Car Museum in Tacoma. Hosted by Hurley Engineering and Custom Mechanical Services, the one-day event brought together manufacturers, engineers, facility teams, contractors, and industry professionals from across the Pacific Northwest for equipment demonstrations, technical sessions, and networking opportunities.

Connecting with Industry Partners

The team spent the day connecting with industry partners, learning about emerging technologies, and exploring opportunities to strengthen relationships throughout the building systems community.

"It was a great event for networking for new product suppliers and sub-contracting opportunities. We had probably 15-20 Perry Technical students stop by and ask about job opportunities. I was able to connect with a couple manufacturers to get contacts for our after-hours training events we do in the service department."

— John Beck, Service Superintendent

Connecting and Building the Next Generation

The event also served as an opportunity to engage with the next generation of skilled trades professionals. Conversations with Perry Technical Institute students highlighted the growing interest in career opportunities within the industry and allowed the team to share information about careers at Hermanson.

"It was a great one-day event with a lot of good conversations and opportunities to learn. It was great connecting with industry professionals, facility teams, and manufacturers, sharing ideas, and picking up new insights along the way. The cool cars were a nice bonus, but the best part was the people. From equipment demos to technical sessions, there was plenty to learn and a lot of valuable connections made throughout the day."

— Terese Beck, Account Executive
