Camlin Hotel
Seattle, Washington
Built in 1926 as a residential hotel, the
Camlin is a Seattle landmark and was placed on the National Park
Service's National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The hotel had last been remodeled in 1965 and was in a state of disrepair when it was purchased for the purpose of retrofit into vacation condominium units.
Hermanson worked closely with the the General Contractor, the
architect and owner representatives to provide systems options and
corresponding cost information that allowed the owner to obtain the best
possible mechanical system within their construction budget.
The revitalized Camlin is now a 98,000 s.f., 10-story structure that
provides 100 vacation condominiums in several sizes and configurations -
studio, one- and two-bedroom - and features a swimming pool and spa,
exercise rooms, and community lounge spaces.
