Hermanson is proud to be featured in the United Association Journal for our work on the Panasonic EV Battery Plant in De Soto, Kansas, a $4 billion lithium-ion battery facility that is transforming the region and establishing Kansas as a key player in the U.S. electric vehicle industry.

About the United Association

The United Association (UA) represents more than 390,000 skilled tradespeople across North America, including plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, HVACR service technicians, welders, and pipeliners. The organization is a leading force in advancing high-quality training, safety standards, and craftsmanship within the skilled trades.

Spotlight on the Panasonic EV Battery Plant

The UA Journal feature highlights Hermanson’s mechanical work at the $4 billion, 5.5-million-square-foot Panasonic EV Battery Plant, a facility that will significantly expand domestic electric vehicle battery production and anchor major economic growth in the De Soto region.

Hermanson serves as the primary mechanical contractor, responsible for the complete mechanical scope in multiple sections of the facility. This work includes the fabrication of more than 60,000 feet of pipe, pre-assembled in our 120,000-square-foot fabrication facilities in Washington and shipped to Kansas for installation.

This integrated approach to prefabrication and field execution has been essential to supporting the accelerated schedule of a project of this scale.

“Being recognized in the United Association Journal highlights the incredible dedication, skill, and collaboration of our teams,” said Neil Ammentorp, Chief Operations Officer.

“From our fabrication facility in Washington to installation in Kansas, every step requires precision and attention to detail. The work our crews are doing on the Panasonic EV Battery Plant shows what’s possible when talented, committed people come together to deliver at an extraordinary scale.”

Proud to Be Part of This Work

Hermanson extends our thanks to the United Association for the recognition and to all the tradespeople and partners contributing to this landmark project. We’re honored to support a facility that will play a central role in meeting the future demand for electric vehicle technology in the United States.
