In recognition of National Women in Construction Week, Hermanson hosted Bridging the Gap: Building an Inclusive Industry on March 5, 2026. 

The event brought together industry professionals to connect, learn, and reflect on the shared responsibility of advancing inclusion within the AEC industry.

This year’s program centered on the theme Building an Inclusive Industry and highlighted Dynamic Duos. These partnerships represented professionals who support one another, collaborate across roles, and actively work to remove barriers. The event emphasized how mutual advocacy contributes to stronger teams and more inclusive workplaces.

Speakers included:

• Tess Wakasugi-Don, Principal at GLY Construction, alongside Amy Bergman, Project Executive at GLY Construction.
• Sierra Spitulski, Associate Principal at P2S Engineers, and Emily Boss, Electrical Studio Leader at P2S Engineers,
• Maria Ruiz, Pipefitting Foreman at Hermanson, and Mike Cichosz, Fitting Foreman at Hermanson

Together, the speakers offered insights into how strong professional relationships help break down barriers, build trust, and create more inclusive and supportive workplaces.

The event also featured an expo with organizations dedicated to education, equity, and opportunity within construction and related fields. Participating organizations included
