Building What Lasts at YMCA Camp Kilworth

In recognition of Earth Day, Hermanson is highlighting our ongoing relationship with YMCA Camp Kilworth and our continued support of the YMCA of Greater Seattle.

Camp Kilworth is a long-standing community resource located on protected land in the Pacific Northwest. The camp serves youth through outdoor education, recreation, and connection to nature, and requires long-term care to remain usable and accessible for future generations.

Hermanson is both a mechanical subcontractor on Camp Kilworth improvements and a dedicated supporter of the YMCA’s mission. We have also made a five-year commitment to donate to Camp Kilworth, reinforcing our belief that investing in community spaces is just as important as building and maintaining them.

A Long-Term Relationship with the YMCA

As the mechanical subcontractor on Camp Kilworth improvements, Hermanson is supporting facilities upgrades intended to help the camp operate reliably and serve campers and staff more comfortably over time.

Alongside our subcontracting work, Hermanson’s five-year donation commitment is a direct investment in keeping Camp Kilworth strong for the long term. For us, supporting a place like this means helping with both the infrastructure and the mission behind it.

Working Alongside Trusted Partners

Improvements at Camp Kilworth have been completed in collaboration with trusted partners.

  • GLY Construction, a longtime general contractor partner of Hermanson, led project coordination and delivery of the project.
  • Forterra, a nonprofit organization dedicated to land conservation and community-based development, played an important role as a community partner.

Looking Ahead

Earth Day is a reminder that sustainability is built through consistent action and long-term relationships. At Hermanson, that means supporting partners like the YMCA, investing in community spaces like Camp Kilworth, and working in ways that balance performance with responsibility.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue this relationship and to support a place that serves people and communities year after year.
