500 Yale
Seattle, Washington
As an early participant in the design and development process for this new office building with ground floor retail and below-grade parking for 140 vehicles, Hermanson worked closely with the Developer and the General Contractor to design and construct the optimum mechanical systems for the owner's needs.
A primary concern was providing an HVAC system that would be appropriate for a variety of tenant needs. As a result, the building features two rooftop package air handling units at 90-tons capacity each, with zone controls through ceiling mounted VAV boxes. There is a pad for an additional cooling tower, should it be required.
Hermanson not only provided full mechanical system design and construction for the Shell & Core construction, but has also completed several tenant improvements for both office and retail spaces.
