Cheney Stadium Renovation

Cheney Stadium Renovation

96000 sf | Tacoma, Washington

Working closely with the General Contractor and the Architectural Design team, Hermanson completed mechanical and plumbing systems design and construction for the complete renovation of the Cheney Stadium, the home of the Tacoma Rainiers Baseball Club. The 96,000 s.f. project signaled the first major renovation of this AAA baseball stadium since 1960. Hermanson provided all mechanical system design and construction for this fast-tracked project. The renovated stadium features a new grand facade and main entrance, new grandstands with 16 luxury suites, a 4,000 s.f. club and restaurant, double the number of restrooms, and a new team clubhouse. The $30 million construction effort took place under an extremely critical schedule, which occurred between the last pitch of the Pacific Coast League 2010 regular season in September and the first pitch of the 2011 season in April.
