Hermanson Company recently hosted a tool packing event in preparation for the 2025 Heavy Metal Summer Experience (HMSE), a program designed to introduce students to careers in the skilled trades. The event brought together Hermanson employees and members of Local 66’s Women’s Committee, who volunteered their time to organize and pack toolboxes and equipment that will be used by students attending camps across the U.S. and Canada.

In 2021, Hermanson partnered with Western Allied to pilot the first HMSE camp at Hermanson Company. Today, the program has grown significantly, with more than 50 camps now operating throughout North America. The initiative has provided hundreds of students with hands-on exposure to various skilled trades, helping grow the next generation of tradespeople.
